Our hardware offerings are designed and deployed based on 20 years of retail computing experience. We actively log and analyze the information that comes back to us from our customers and actively adjust our processes to make things more convenient, more reliable and better performing.

 

Robust Testing

Manufacturer’s typically “burn-in” hardware for 48 hours after the assembly using hardware stressing tests to determine if there are any underlying faults. At RCS we perform our own burn-in tests. We run the machines for at least another two days, frequently three or more. This makes the out-of-box-failure rate of your RCS server, register or workstation the lowest possible. As a result, your RCS machine is more reliable from the day you turn it on than other vendors. In almost every instance if there is an underlying hardware or operating system error we find it before the machine goes out the door.

 

Hardened Design

RCS deploys machines with the fewest moving parts possible for their role in your business. This decision means fewer points of failure for your system and more reliable performance. Added to the greater reliability is the lowered maintenance cost. Since there are fewer moving parts the computers you buy from RCS are easier to service in the field. Parts are readily available and take little time to replace, saving you precious time on your critical machines.

 

Onsite Warranties

RCS offers qualified and experienced technicians to be deployed, anywhere in the country, in the event of a hardware failure. This ensures that, in most instances, the next calendar day a technician and the part needed to repair your system is at your site ready to restore the machine to functionality. Typically, the entire process will take less than thirty minutes and may include replacing the entire machine, at no cost.

 

Tuned for Retail Applications

Our highly skilled and experienced production team tunes every computer that leaves RCS for maximum performance and stability. Fast unreliable machines are not particularly useful in the retail environment any more than highly reliable but painfully slow ones. RCS Production members are always working with the latest, tools, operating systems, service packs, updates and hardware. As a result, they know how to get the most out of your machine and its software.

 

Software Vendor Certified

All RCS hardware is certified by the manufacturer to work with the specific applications and environments it is built for. We know that the printers, cash drawers, scanners, pin pads and the like will absolutely work with your application. If you have unique requirements we do the research for you to find the component that will work best in your environment. RCS does not sell poor quality, uncertified hardware, ever.

RCS strives to put out the highest quality hardware and that can sometimes make us more expensive in the short term. Our hardware minimizes the much larger costs caused by business loss due to long lines and angered customers. Even with our higher standards and performance

RCS works with our vendors on a daily basis to drive costs down across the board. We actually lower our prices throughout the year on most hardware offerings as a result of our ongoing vendor relationships. When we get a good deal we let you know about it and reflect it in our pricing. If a better way is found to deploy or build out systems we do not sit on the information for years until a vendor can comply with our standards. We come to agreement with our suppliers, as your advocate, and get the solution in place and field ready in the shortest possible time.
