Business Development Representative

Reports to: VP of Sales and Marketing

The Business Development Representative will support the entire Sales organization with sales lead generation for retail technology solutions. This exciting and fast-paced position will be responsible for driving leads and generating appointments for Account Executives through a multitude of platforms including cold calling. The ideal candidate is outgoing, personable, and looking for career growth in the technology sales field.

What you will do:

  • Secure discovery calls or meetings for Account Executives with interested businesses that are a good fit within the RCS Target Verticals.
  • Research and document detailed and informative prospect data into our CRM.
  • Develop and articulate an understanding of RCS solutions, industry trends and insights to reflect credibility while communicating with prospects.]
  • Utilize platforms by emailing, calling, posting, sharing, etc. to showcase RCS thought leadership and the benefits of working with us.

What we are looking for:

  • Exceptional Customer Service skills (strong/confident and well-informed communication).
  • Open-minded, friendly, strong work ethic, self-motivated. Eager and willing to learn.
  • Strong written communication.
  • Excellent time-management skills, and ability to use and manage time-tracking systems.
  • Ability to navigate a prospective customer’s organization to identify the appropriate person(s) and secure their contact information.
  • A go-getter, someone who is looking for career growth in sales and is a “hunter”.

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office conditions, sitting and phone work in excess of 6 hours per day.
  • Intermittent lifting may be required to help with preparing company trade booths and customer seminars.
  • 20-30% Travel may be required within the United States.
  • Hybrid remote with special consideration given to those living in New England.

Work hours to be determined (but flexible) based on needs
Yearly wage dependent on experience
